This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the Moreno Explorer website or contact us about the experience. Moreno Explorer is operated by Fitz Roy Expediciones. This policy describes the website’s current features as of September 2026; separate websites you choose to visit have their own privacy practices.

The website currently provides an email contact link rather than an active contact form. Opening that link launches your email application; it does not send a message automatically. If you email us, we receive your email address, any sender name supplied by your email service, the subject or reason for your inquiry, your message and any attachments or other details you choose to include.

You may choose to tell us about your intended visit or ask a reservation-related question. Please share only what is needed for your inquiry. The current website does not request passport numbers, DNI, nationality, date of birth or payment-card information through a contact form, and it does not offer visitor accounts.

When you select English or Spanish, the website saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under moreno-explorer-language. It contains only en or es and is used to remember the interface language. It is not an advertising identifier and is not automatically sent with web requests.

The calendar, gallery and interface controls hold their current selections in temporary page memory. The current website does not implement analytics, advertising pixels, visitor profiling or non-essential cookies. Photographs, videos, logos and fonts are served as website assets rather than through embedded social-media or video players.

Delivering web pages and external resources necessarily involves technical information such as your IP address and the requested resource. Servers may also receive browser information sent with those requests. This is distinct from an analytics service or a personal-information form; we do not claim that visiting the website is anonymous.

We use information you send to respond to inquiries, manage our correspondence, provide requested information and help with questions about visits or reservations. We use the saved language choice to maintain your interface preference, and technical information is used as needed to deliver and maintain website functionality.

Relevant correspondence may also be needed to resolve a question or dispute, maintain necessary operational records or meet applicable legal requirements. Please contact us if you have questions about how information in a particular inquiry is used.

The current calendar lets you explore dates and departures, but its continuation button is disabled and it does not submit a reservation, collect passenger details or process payments. Its selections remain in page memory rather than being sent to a booking provider.

No external reservation or payment interface is currently active. If you email us about a reservation, the information you provide is handled as correspondence as described above. We will update this policy when live booking functionality changes the information collected or introduces an external booking service.

The map uses Leaflet, a library included with the site. When satellite imagery is enabled, your browser requests image tiles from Esri’s ArcGIS World Imagery service. The map’s weather display requests conditions from Open-Meteo for fixed coordinates near the glacier; the website does not request your device’s location.

These providers receive the network information needed to respond, including your IP address and the resource requested. They handle that information under their own policies. Open-Meteo explains that its API may keep technical logs, including requested coordinates; Esri describes its handling of service and technical information in its privacy documentation.

Email messages pass through the email services used by you and Moreno Explorer. Those services process the message and addressing information needed to deliver and retain correspondence.

Partner links and the park-admission link lead to separate websites. Information you provide there is handled by their operators, not by this website’s calendar. Review their privacy information before submitting personal details.

Personal information in correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the relevant inquiry, maintain necessary operational records or meet applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the purpose and circumstances.

The language preference has no expiry set by the website and remains until you change it, clear site data or your browser removes it. Calendar selections are not persistently saved. External services determine retention for information they receive under their own policies.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled for the purposes described in this policy. No method of online transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending identity documents, payment details or other sensitive information that is not needed to answer your inquiry.

You can browse the website without emailing us. You can change the language preference using the language selector or remove it by clearing Moreno Explorer’s stored site data in your browser. Blocking storage or external resources may affect language preferences, map imagery or weather information.

You may contact us about personal information you have provided, including requests for access, correction or deletion where applicable. Explain your request and provide enough context for us to locate the relevant correspondence. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing information or making changes.
